If you've been following along with me for any amount of time, you may have seen my post a few weeks back sharing my excitement of learning that a long-time daunting and intimidating process was actually achievable one-handed: Braiding. (It's much like tying a balloon....that however, did take forever to figure out and quite a few balloons and near heart attacks from unintentional destruction of balloons).

So, after seeking advice from some skilled horsewomen via Turnout Tips on Facebook, I decided to try again. On Christmas. I was bored. It was beautiful out. I had a glorious scarlet rose shirt....and ornaments. So out to the barn I went (and Wes tagged along too).

This time, instead making several, tiny braids and hating my life, I took the advice of several of the folks who responded to my post and made them much bigger. I went from 16 to 7 braids. Whoo!

I'm so happy with our progress!! They actually look like plaits!

Unlike:

Ehh, first time for everything, am I right? lol.

So, we commenced taking Christmas photos. I was quite pleased:

(my hair-tie broke in the barn...whoops. Yay wind...).

A little photo-heavy, but after my previous rant, figured something a little light-hearted was called for. We're getting there with the braids :) Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and a blessed holiday with family!
